Travelling to the Island
Anchor 1
Anchor 2

The quickest way to reach the villa is to take a return flight to Skiathos, our nearest island.  We always rely on www.skyscanner.net to give us the full range of options.

It’s a five-minute taxi ride from Skiathos airport to the harbour, where there are regular crossings by hydrofoil (15 minutes) or ferry (30 minutes) to our local port of Glossa.  All the crossing times will published in the spring, when you can easily access them on www.openseas.gr, but if there isn’t a crossing time that suits you, please let us know, so that we can book a water taxi for you through Sea Cab, which gives special prices to our guests.

If you are thinking of spending time on the mainland, either before or after staying at villa,  we’d recommend that you book a flight to Athens.  These are always cheaper that the flights to Skiathos, and again, Skyscanner will give you all the options.  You can either take a connecting flight to Skiathos (again through skyscanner) or ask us to give you details of the coach and ferry connections from Athens to Glossa.

There’s a local car hire firm (Dream Cars) at Glossa, and as soon as we receive their list of 2024 prices, we can send this to you.  We will also double-check that they are competitive with hire companies in Skopelos main town.

Once we know your arrival time, we can arrange for a car to be waiting for you at the port.  Eleni, our house-manager,  will also be there in her own car so that she can take any extra luggage and guide you to the villa to show you how everything functions and to make sure you have all you need.

In the villa, there are special guides to beaches, shops, restaurants and place of interest on the island.

And if you decide to come, we hope you’ll have a wonderful holiday at Petaloutha, and the villa and the island will live up to your best expectations.
