Skopelos Island is in the Northern Sporades, north east of Athens.
One of the beauties of the island is its seclusion; it remains unspoilt by mass tourism.
Beaches
The house is a 10 minute drive from some of the Island's most remote, secluded and unfrequented beaches. The closest, and one of Skopelos' loveliest fine shingle beaches (Perivoliou), is perfect for swimming, snorkelling, lounging on the beach. Further away on the south side of the Island are white sandy beaches - you have plenty of choice.
Restaurants
Amongst the many places to eat, Agnanti in Glossa (a 20 minute walk from the house) is one of Greece's finest traditional family run restaurants offering local dishes of freshly sourced ingredients in a beautiful position - overlooking Loutraki - and is a must for a visit early in your holiday.
Ports & Harbours
In addition to the bustling town of Skopelos at the southern tip of the Island there are several other lovely small coastal towns and harbours (Panormos, Agnontas, Loutraki to name but a few) with tavernas and beaches.
Flora and Fauna
Beautiful wild flowers and aromatic herbs abound during the months of May and June and provide lovely aromas during the hot summer and beautiful fruit in the Autumn.
